GIS PLANET 2005 should be of value to all GIS professionals with an interest in the future of the technology, the science that underlies it, and its applications. Getting involved with GIS PLANET 2005 is easy. There are many options available, designed to meet different profiles and to make it a collaborative event, suitable either for individuals or entities, and implying local participation or remote collaboration. GIS PLANET 2005 welcomes the submission of proposals to present papers and deliver advanced or technical workshops through the call for papers and call for workshops already open. A network of international organizations will support, promote and be associated to GIS PLANET 2005. A set of special events dedicated to specific user communities or professional groups are to be offered by the most relevant entities. Partnerships with leading industry players and government institutions will feature sponsorship, exhibition, promotion and dedicated technical sessions. Entities looking to meet business counterparts, point of contact individuals and, of course, attendees are also part of GIS PLANET 2005. Participation is open to the broad Geographic Information community. English is the official language for GIS PLANET 2005. |
