GIS PLANET 2005 conference welcomes proposals for paper and poster presentations to be submitted within the current open call for papers. Some full papers presented at GIS PLANET 2005 will be published by selected associated journals within a short time after the conference. GIS PLANET 2005 has two rounds of call for papers, being the deadline to receive 2nd round submissions March 4, 2005. Submissions for both, poster and paper presentations, must be written in English and proposed by filling in the provided submission form, designed to be used under Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher (see note), where all required data is prompted, including: . Type of submission: regular, Scientific Board or International Board . Preferred type of presentation: paper or poster; . Title, Sub title, first author, other authors and keywords; . Short summary of 50 to 100 words written with clear language and identifying the main ideas, theme, framework, methodologies and findings; . Abstract of 750 to 1 000 words describing the work presented, allowing a clear understanding of the problem statement, methodologies, results, main findings, conclusions and further developments; . References; . Contact of the first or presenting author (e-mail and address); . Presenting author (if different from first author) Only complete forms submitted within the deadlines will be evaluated, and accepted abstracts will be considered as a pre-registration of the first or presenting author. Commercial submissions are rejected without any further evaluation. Relevance of abstract proposals to GIS PLANET 2005 will be decided by the Scientific Board, who may change the type of presentation from paper to poster or vice versa. After the evaluation process, based on previously defined and clear criteria to rank submissions, results will be communicated to first authors. Guidelines for final full versions of accepted proposals and for live presentation at GIS PLANET 2005 will be provided, both for paper and poster sessions, considering that: . Papers should be prepared for room presentation of 15’ to 20’; . Posters should be prepared for a one slide (poster) room presentation of 5’ to 8’ and printed to be shown at the lobby exhibit. Note: Other browsers or Internet Explorer former versions may not work properly. The provided template is for use only if it turns impossible to submit through the form. Please be sure to comply with field lenght restrictions, provide all requidered data and correctly send the abstract. |
