GIS PLANET 2005 is a unique opportunity for the worldwide Geographic Information community to exchange knowledge, learn, build capacity and participate in a set of events structured around a global perspective, featuring presentations on mainstream themes or state of the art applications, and with a special emphasis on cutting edge issues likely to influence its development in the next decade. GIS PLANET 2005 shows the most recent developments on technology and its use in a broad diversity of applications, represented by many of the market stakeholders, such as system providers, software developers, data producers, hardware distributors, information society enhancers, service companies, consultants and industry users. It comprises most solutions, from information systems to the newly mobile living market, resulting of the convergence with communications, which is creating unseen larger opportunities for Geographic Information and poses major challenges for its future use. GIS PLANET 2005 exhibition area is located in the main entrance hall of the Estoril Congress Center, fully occupying the open ground floor, and divided into four different categories to meet specific profiles: TOP: Located in the corridor from the entrance to the reception area and stairs, benefits of high visibility, low number of exhibitors, very selective criteria, exclusive preference for sponsors and guaranteed plant as island if desired. MAIN: Located in the lobby, behind top area, is the standard plan of normal visibility, 2 floor high and hosting larger number of exhibitors. REGULAR: Located in the back, after the main area, has lower visibility and is only 1 floor high. SUITES: A set of 5 slots with more than 50m2 each, and option to work as open space or closed rooms, designed for single use under common identity, with low visibility but suitable for the exhibitor to host visitors under own events, specific meetings or special umbrella areas.
GIS PLANET 2005 values for exhibition refer only to space rental of 9 m2 slots or suites. Special discount conditions apply to Gold (GL) and Silver (SL) Sponsors, Partners (PN) and Promoters (PT). Assistance on booth design and structure can be provided by a third party entity, starting at € 300.00 per slot.

Dismantle: June 2nd Reservations made to categories, as slot assignment will be defined one month prior to the event. Slot assignment will follow the definitive layout design Priority will be given to Golden sponsors, Silver sponsors and then other Exhibitors, by order of formal confirmation Payments have to be made in two equal parcels (50%): First at formal confirmation and second before May 9, 2005. All slots are of 9 m2, except the 5 suites, each of more than 50 m2. Top category has 3 fixed pre-defined areas: 2 of 5 slots (45m2) each, by the main entrance, and a possible other of 3 slots (around 30 m2) by the stairs. Possible slot by the stairs is not marked, needing special design. All top category booths can be designed as islands, isolated from any other surrounding entities. Booth structure and design may follow exhibitor specifications, and be hired to any other third party entity. |
